Bhindi Masala – Spicy Okra Recipe – LadyFinger Masala – Traditional Indian Recipes

This is one of the most widely followed Indian bhindi Masala preparations. This is a really easy bhindi masala recipe having a dry texture and requires shallow frying bhindi with onions followed by mixing with spicy dry masala and common curry spices. This dish is easy to prepare and cook requiring minimal ingredients and tastes really good! It goes well with Chapati or Paratha.

 1000 g Lady finger (Bhindi/ Okra)
 2 Onion(Medium sized)
 3 Green chilli
 2 tsp Coriander Powder
 1 tsp Kitchen king masala
 1 tsp Kashmiri Mirch powder(or Red Chilli Powder)
 1 tsp Jeera
 1 tsp Turmeric powder
 Salt (to taste)
 4 tbsp Oil

Preparation(Can Be Done beforehand)

Take the ladyfinger and wash it well and wash it well.

Cut the washed ladyfinger into small pieces

Actual Cooking

Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a Kadhai(Pan)

Add Cumin Seeds(Jeera) and green chili to the kadhai.

Add Chopped Onions, and keep stirring.

Keep stirring it till the onions are light-brown in color.(see pic for reference)

Now add chopped ladyfingers to the kadhai

Shallow Fry the ladyfinger for 10-15 minutes. (on medium flame, do not cover the kadhai)

Take Turmeric, Kashmiri Mirch(Red Chili Powder ), Kitchen King Masala and Coriander powder as per the measurement mentioned.

Now add all the masalas along with salt to the Kadhai

Now Reduce the flame and keep dry-roasting. Once the ladyfingers are cooked properly turn of the flame and serve it!
