In this masala chaas recipe I tried to mix and match a with few ingredients with chaas. I have used a comprehensive list of ingredients for masala chaas,also pronounced as chaach in hindi. At my home I generally consume buttermilk with pinch of salt and cumin powder,but my husband likes minty flavoured chaas .Basically its a spicy yogurt or curd based drink which is served during the scorching summer heat and helps in reducing the body temperature. Its a delicious summer drink that can be prepared in a jiffy and can help you remain cool. Its pretty healthy too since it doesnt contain any artificial flavours or harmful preserving and favouring agents used in various softdrinks available in the market. 2cupsCurd, Thick yogurt
¼tspChat masala
½tspBlack salt
1tspwhite salt or as per taste
1tspCumin powder, jeera powder roasted
1tspChopped green chilli, 1 green chilli
1tspChopped ginger, 1 inch adrak
Some freshly mint leaves
Some freshly coriander leaves
10Ice cubes
½tbspLemon juice
1cupWater
4Lemon slice for garnnishing
1tspSugar (optional)

Firstly take a blender add ginger,green chilli, mint leaves, coriander leaves,

Add crushed ice cubes as required

Grind all ingredients

Add curd, roasted cumin powder,and salt

Also add lemon juice, skip lemon if the curd is sour

furthermore, add crushed ice cubes

Bland frothy

Transfer the masala chaas to the large jug

Add ice cubes

Finally Pour masala chaas or spice buttermilk into serving glass

Sprinkle cumin powder for garnishing and fresh mint sprigs

And garnishing lemon wedges
