Eggless caramel bread pudding-step by step recipe of steamed no bake.This is a smooth,soft,melt in the mouth . This recipe is ridiculously easy and fast. It takes just 3 very common ingredients from your pantry and is something which gives you melt in your mouth .
Yields 1 Serving Servings Quarter (0.25 Servings) Half (0.5 Servings) Default (1 Serving) Double (2 Servings) Triple (3 Servings) Prep Time 15 minsCook Time 25 minsTotal Time 40 mins
1 cup (1 Cup=200 ML)
4 Slices sandwich bread or 6 slices small bread (Whole wheat,brown,multi grain or white bread)
2 cups Milk or 400 ml
4 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Custard powder
½ tsp Vanilla extract or essence (Optional)
For making caramel
2 tbsp Sugar
5 Cashew nut
1 Take a pan add 2tbsp sugar
2 Heat on low flame
3 Sugar melts continue on low flame
4 Cook until Golden brown sugar caramalized
5 Pour in to a cake tin, spread even
6 Add cashew nut and set aside
7 Remove edges of bread slices
8 Chop 6 slices of bread
9 And grind in to fine powder
10 Take a bowl add 1/2 cup milk and 2 tbsp Custard powder
11 mix well remove lumps
12 Take a pan add 2 cups milk and add 4 tbsp sugar
13 Boil until sugar melts
14 Add Custard powder
15 Stair and boil 2 minutes on medium flame thickened slightly then keep the pan on a low flame
16 Add Bread crumbs little at a time mix well
17 Add vanilla extract mix well
18 Now pore the mixture in cake tin
19 and tap twice
20 Cover with an aluminium foil
21 Place the pudding pan in the Idly steamer pan
22 Steam for 30 minutes
23 To get net slices, you will have to refrigerates for a couple of hours or 2 hours
24 And then unmold
25 Slice and serve it
