Summer has hit Nagpur and the heat unbearable. It start to get hot as early as eight o’clock in the morning. The temperature in may and june reach a scorching 49 to 50 degree celsisus and with the heat waves accompanying the high temperature. Aam Panna is a very refreshing drink is a tangy beverage made using raw mangoes , fresh mint, sugar, salt, black pepper powder and roasted cumin powder. Try it this summer and feel cool. it is still good to sip on this delicious drink . As most of the Indian recipe, the aam ka panna recipe differs from person to person , some add mint and some do not, some peel the green mango before boiling and some do not. So, here is my recipe to make this refreshing Aam Panna Drink , do give it a try and share your comments with me.

Peel the skin of mangoes and chop them into small pieces, put them in a pan add water to cover them and cook till soft
Remove the pan from heat and let the mango cool down
Transfer the mangoes in a blender and add mint leaves and bland until smooth
Add sugar, cumin powder, black pepper powder, black and white salt to the mango pulp
Add ice cube and bland them
Adjust sugar, salt and pepper according to your taste
Take a jar add ice cube
Pour the grind mango pulp
Add more chilled water as per required
Mix well
Take serving glass pour the aam panna
Add ice cubes
Garnish with mint leaves
Serve chilled enjoy this recipe
NOTE:- If the panna is not very tangy, you can add few lemon juice to it
NOT:- Roasted Aam panna process to make it is similar to the recipe below except that the the green mangoes are roasted on direct flame instead of boiling. It gives a lovely smoky taste to the drink.
Make sure to prick the mangoes before roasting them.
