Lauki is a very nutritious vegetable. But my son does not like lauki. I have to hide it in dishes to make him eat this nutritious vegetable. But last week i decided to make this recipe only me and my husband .But i was surprised that he liked it. this recipe is a good health . Rich in protein and folic acid , high fiber recipes for weight loss.

200 g Chana dal(gram puls)
500 g bottle gourd(lauki)
1 tsp Turmeric powder
½ tsp Rred chili powder
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 Onion big size chopped finely
2 Green chili( crushed )
5 to 6 Garlic clove (crushed )
1 stick Ginger( crushed)
2 tsp Kitchen king masala
2 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves chopped finely for garnishing (optional)
1 Wash chana dal very well under running cold water and drained chana dal.
2 Chopped lauki.
3 Take a pressure cooker and add chana dal, lauki , salt , and turmiric powder .
4 Add water and close it with lid.
5 Cook it for 7 to 8 whistles . Let the pressure go down and open the cover.
6 Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
7 Then add chopped onion and cook till golden brown . Then add crushed green chili , garlic ginger and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
8 Then add dry spice powders . Mix well and cook for a minute .
9 Now add this masala to boiled dal - lauki mixture.
10 Mix well and sprinkle chopped coriander leaves .
